Magic of Makeup

I'm a plain person. Many people don't notice me, even when I stand right next to them. Aha, I know I've scared my teacher and my friends countless times because of that. You know those extreme before and after photos that are online? Honestly, I believed that most of them were fake or the before photo was photoshopped to oblivion in order to not look like the after photo. I... Was a bit wrong in that assumption.

Before I get into the photos, I'll just say this - I'm a lazy person. The main reason why I don't wear makeup on a daily basis is because I just can't force myself to wake up earlier in order to fit that into my schedule before school. xDD;. There are occasions when I go out to wear it though~

Earlier today, instead of doing my homework, I decided to put makeup on only half of my face in order to see the change. And well... You be the judge on how drastic it is. : ). I showed my Grandmother pictures of it, and although I only told her I put makeup on, not implying how little or how much I really wore, she was under the assumption of it being on my nose. I found it interesting that by only retaining that small bit of information of the makeup being on my eyes, lips, and cheeks, I was able to create an impression of wearing more than I was actually~

Half face!

Later on, I ended up adding makeup to both sides of my face.

Honestly, makeup is a very powerful thing - at least in my opinion. It's also very time consuming. LOL. I don't know how the girls at my school, who literally cake makeup onto their face, do this every day... OTL.

Maybelline: Baby Lips - Review

I was at a local CVS picking up some nail polish colours and I stumbled across the Baby Lips products. Knowing that all of my friends that wore lip products had labelled this one off as their favourite, I knew I had to try one. Between Peppermint and Pink Punch, I decided that I would buy #25, Pink Punch. Probably one of my worst impulse buy choices.

Packaging and Design:
Just like a chapstick container, the Baby Lips container is more or less the same; the bottom portion of the tube twists up, allowing the product to come out. I've noticed that as long as the clear cap is on, you can't twist the product out. That's a very good thing for me; you wouldn't believe how many lip products I've ruined because of that. Overall, I actually really like the container for the product; it's very cute and modern.

Colour:
The product gives off a pinkish tone. It isn't a vibrant pink, it's more like... A subtle pink? It's enough to change the colour of your lips without having people question whether or not you're wearing something, aha. As you can see in the picture below, the product gives your lips a bit of a shimmer.

Swatch.

Bare lips.

On lips.

Smell:
The smell reminds me a lot like the EOS lip balm in fruit punch too, actually. The smell itself isn't overbearing; in fact, I can actually live with it. It smells less like fruit punch but more like... Artificial punch...? if that makes sense. @_@. I mentioned earlier that I chose this flavour as the one I wanted instead of peppermint, and well, I was right. Although I dislike the smell of peppermint, I feel like I can bear that one more than this fruit punch smell; I know I strayed away from my EOS lip balm because I couldn't necessarily stand the smell of it... But like I said, if I don't focus on it, it doesn't bother me. I reallyyyyy wanted the Cherry Me product though because of the smell. ;-;;

Usage:
True to its word, the Baby Lips product does moisturize your lips. I didn't have to reapply the product a lot - only one to three times throughout the day, and two of which were caused by myself. If you're looking for a bit of a long lasting product, then I would recommend you check out these. : ).

Final Thoughts?
I think I will purchase from this line again, except... I won't choose Pink Punch, aha. If you're looking for something that smells good and is great for your lips, then go for it!

Peripera: Peri's Tint Milk - Review

I'm a sucker for anything 2NE1 or IU related. With that in mind, how could anyone resist when they saw the packaging for these products? The artist that drew the girls is actually the same artist as the one who drew the music video for 2NE1's song, Hate You. I know, I know, the makeup for this line isn't even for 2NE1! Regardless of that fact, it was still cute - it was probably one of the most colourful things in the store I was at.  NOW ON TO THE REVIEW: Peri's Tint Milk in #2 Milky Peach.

Packaging:
It's so cute omg. It's size is roughly the same as the Hellow Bunny Perfume Stick, actually. It's very simple and not overdone, plus the size of it makes it easy to fit in the palm of your hand.

Same same~

Application and Usage:
Simple, just apply to your lips and blend away~ I like to dab it on the center of my bottom lip and spread outward. : ). The colour stays on for a few hours, then you'd have to reapply it. I'd say that as long as you don't eat and drink when wearing it, it'll stay on longer, aha. The product itself is liquidy/creamy-ish.

Swatch on hand.

Colour:
The colour is pretty natural (at least for me). It does give my lips that little hint of pink to it, but the product doesn't give me an overwhelming amount - the colour is just enough to make my lips look natural when I wear it out.

On lips.

Final Thoughts?
The product is lovely; it's actually the first lip tint I've ever gotten. I'll be sure to get the other colours next time I see them! I like how it, for the most part, is a bit long lasting and definitely something that I'll wear to school. I'm not one for lip products that isn't chapstick and lip balm, so the fact that I like something like this is a bit rare.

Tony Moly: Hello Bunny Perfume Bar - Review~

A week or two ago, I ordered a product from Tony Moly - the bunny perfume stick! Honestly, I was bought  in by the extremely cut packaging, ahaha. I ordered the perfume stick in #5, Pompom Green Tea.

Look at how adorable it is!

Packaging:
The product is about 3 inches tall. I don't know why I expected bigger even though I read other reviews of it being small. Nonetheless, that only added to how adorable it was - I'm a sucker for items like that. The size makes it convenient for everyday travel; it fits in the palm of my hand and my pockets very easily. In fact, it almost reminds me of those circley nail polish containers.

Once you take off the cap, you'll notice a plastic piece there on the product. That's there in order to keep it more sanitary and to stop the product from smashing onto the top of the lid. I know for a fact that stopper will be useful for me; you have no idea how many chapstick tubes I've ruined because I forget to roll down the product...

Inside with the stopper.

Smell:
When I first took it out of it's packaging, I was surprised at how vibrant the smell was. I could smell it out of the envelope! Granted, my nose is overly sensitive to smells, but that's beside the point~ It smells like... A floral/citrus scent? A strong, sweet, orange scent is in it, and there's this slight after smell of flowers. Like I mentioned before, my nose is overly sensitive  In fact, I'd say at least 80% of smells that come from perfume/other products make me sick, due to how strong my mind perceive them to be. I'm glad to say that this doesn't do the same! There is a hint of green tea in it, but I wouldn't say it's as strong as the first two smells; rather, it's more of a smell that's very subtle. Once applied to the skin, the smell is very obscure; you CAN smell it, but it won't be the type where you can smell it five feet away, the closer you are, the more you smell. I personally like that factor of it; I highly dislike passing someone at school and getting a breath full of their perfume!

Usage:
The product glides on very nicely; almost like deodorant, to be honest. Although the stick itself is coloured, there is no actual colour when applied to your skin - in all honesty, you wouldn't be able to tell if there was anything there because of how there is no colour, except for the waxy residue it leaves behind. Even then, it disappears soon after, once the product starts to wear to the skin. After a few hours, the smell starts to fade and you'll have to reapply. That'll be easy though due to how small the container for the product is.

Swatch on hand.

Final thoughts?
I love it~ I'm hoping that in the future I'll be able to collect all the containers for this series, ahaha. I bought this from A-Poly, an amazing seller on Amazon from Korea. This is actually the second time I've ordered from their company and in both situations, my items came earlier than the expected time - I know this one came a full two weeks earlier! I strongly recommend you go check them out. : ).
